"...John Morana really loves what he does. It's most important to him that his food is of the highest quality and that his customers are treated like family and with respect. Known as the "Sandwich King of Queens," he also has a huge catering business. Where most business like his have lots of catering orders during the holidays, Morana has them every day of the week. With a large corporate account base from all over the city, trays of sandwiches, cookies, fruit platters as well as hot foods are constantly going out his door...."

"... For the past 22 years, Buon Appetit Caterers in Astoria has been serving up a huge selection of specialty sandwiches and salads named for celebs, city agencies, New York sports teams and local hotspots, all for a price that would make any deli fan smile....
But everybody is a celebrity with Morano....
The 22 year-old shop was renovated last year, and now offers seating near the window front, where customers can linger in the back-slapping, friendly atmosphere. "My house is your house," said Morano, before he insisted we stay, for one more bite.
